Verona Catullo Airport

Verona Villafranca Airport, also known as Valerio Catullo Airport or Villafranca Airport, is located 10 km southwest of Verona city centre. It handles international and domestic flights and many seasonal flights too.
The airport serves a population of more than 4 million inhabitants in the provinces of Verona, Brescia, Mantua (Mantova) and Trentino-Alto Adige (Südtirol). This area is heavily industrialized and contributes with almost 15% to the national GDP (Wikipedia). The main domestic connections are Rome, Palermo, Catania, Olbia, Cagliari, Bari, Naples, whereas the international connections include Amsterdam, Cologne, Munich, London, Paris, Frankfurt am Main, Brussels, Warsaw, Tirana, Moscow-Domodedovo and Saint Petersburg-Pulkovo.
The airport, named after Valerio Catullo, became a civil airport in September 2008, although it remained open to military traffic.
