The first worldwide victory

Tuesday 17 March 2020
It was an exciting weekend for the ParkinGO Team, the champion in the first Supersport 300 (WSSP 300) race.
The fresh rider Manuel Gonzalez, who joined the team this year, made his impressive entrance coming first in the Aragon MotorLand circuit.
The youngster from Madrid, wearing the number 18, won by overtaking the French de Cancellis, riding Yamaha, on the final straight; Scott Deroue with Kawasaki came third.
Satisfying results also for Filippo Rovelli, who pulled off an excellent race emerging from the twentieth position to the thirteenth. The last of the three Team riders, Tom Edwards, started low-key departing from the tenth row and finally ranked nineteenth.

A trully exhilaratng first race as quoted by Manuel Gonzalez: "I'd worked hard for this result. The 300 race is always very difficult but I had a lot of fun riding in the tussle. The last lap is very demanding because it is not easy to manage the trail on the final straight, however I managed to overtake de Cancellis at the last bend and I won. I thank the ParkinGO Team, the sponsors and my family to whom I dedicate the first victory in the world championship ».

All we have to do now is to wait for Assen (12-14 April) to see if the ParkinGO Team riders are able to maintain the excellent results.
