ParkinGO Team
Founded in 2007 by Giuliano Rovelli, a former professional rider and creator of the ParkinGO parking network, the team competed in world championships for motorcycles derived from mass production.
After 10 Years, the ParkinGO Team Returns with Yamaha Motor Europe for the 2021 Supersport World Championship
After 10 years, the collaboration between the two-time World Champion Italian team and the Japanese company is re-established. In 2011, this partnership led Chaz Davies to win the world title.

This is a very strong partnership because Yamaha Motor Company dominated the 2020 Supersport season, while the ParkinGO team debuted the rising star of Spanish motorcycling, Manuel Gonzalez, in the junior class. The youngest World Champion in motorcycling history finished his first season in 7th place. Gonzalez was the best rider coming from Supersport 300cc and the only one to score points in all 15 scheduled races.
Edoardo Rovelli, ParkinGO Yamaha team manager, commented on the new collaboration: "The ParkinGO team is excited to be part of this project because we will work closely with Yamaha Motor Europe. We have vivid memories of this partnership that led us to win the world title with Chaz Davies in 2011. With a strong and determined rider like Manuel Gonzalez, the professionals in our team, the support of Yamaha, and all our long-time technical partners, we can fight for the title again."
Championship halted due to the COVID-19 emergency
The Team doubles up: Filippo Rovelli and Tom Edwards continue in the WSSP 300 while Manuel González, champion in the previous season, begins the 600 adventure.
Due to the COVID-19 health emergency, all races were temporarily suspended after just one round.
Regarding the current COVID-19 health emergency, Edoardo Rovelli, Team Manager of Kawasaki ParkinGO Team: "I think it will be difficult to restart Superbike this year. Some championships are already ready to resume, but the approval of the individual states is needed to ensure the required continuity. It could also turn into a 'stop-and-go' championship where each race is confirmed just one month in advance, with all the resulting issues".
"What worries me most," continues Edoardo Rovelli, "is that the current situation does not allow many small sponsors to continue their adventure in the racing world. We are seeing it almost everywhere: these types of expenses are the first to be cut.
Personally, at this point in the year and in the season, I would prefer that we all take a sabbatical year, a bit like what happened with the Tokyo Olympics (editor's note: scheduled for 2020 and moved to 2021). This would allow all Teams to recover, find new sponsors and focus 100% on the championship.
In any case, we are here! Our mechanics have continued to work tirelessly to perfect the bikes, while the riders continue to work on their physical fitness and on the circuits".
Kawasaki ParkinGO Team on the top step of the podium with Manuel Gonzalez

After finishing second in the riders' standings (2018 Supersport 300 World Championship), ParkinGO achieved its goal with Manuel González, the youngest rider ever to win a world championship.
After an emotion-filled season and a renewed lineup riding the Kawasaki Ninja 400cc, Team ParkinGO was able to celebrate the outstanding performance of the very young rider wearing number 18 one race before the end of the season.
On track for the ParkinGO Kawasaki team: the Spaniard Manuel González, previously winner of the CEV Talent Cup in 2017 and sixth place finisher in the 2018 WSSP 300, the Australian Tom Edwards, who claimed pole position in Portimão, and the confirmed Filippo Rovelli, standout performer last season in the Imola and Misano Adriatico races and winner of the MES MotoEstate.
There were also new developments in the technical department, with the arrival of Fabien Foret (2002 Supersport World Champion) as Sporting Director, Edoardo Rovelli (a key rider in the 2017 World Supersport 300 Championship) as Team Manager, and Giuliano Rovelli (founder of ParkinGO and former Team Manager of the ParkinGO Yamaha team, Supersport World Champion in 2011 with Chaz Davies) as Team Owner.
Confident from the very first tests, Edoardo Rovelli stated at the start of the season: "For the third year, we are lining up in the 300 World Championship, a category in which I also competed and which I consider one of the most exciting and competitive on the current scene. We are honored to represent Kawasaki once again, which, besides being a champion brand, represents the state of the art in these small-displacement classes. We have chosen three riders we strongly believe in: Manuel González, the best Yamaha rider of 2018; Tom Edwards, whom we liked for his enormous grit and courage on the track; and Filippo Rovelli, who is very fast and had an excellent apprenticeship in the world championship and in MotoEstate. The technical department has been strengthened with the arrival of Fabien Foret, who was already collaborating with us, and with my full-time commitment. I believe our team is one of the most interesting and competitive structures in the category for 2019".

Team ParkinGO fires up its engines in the Supersport 300 World Championship
Team ParkinGO, created by Giuliano Rovelli, founder of the ParkinGO parking network, confirms its presence in the Supersport 300 World Championship.
Riding the powerful Kawasaki Ninja 400cc, new entry Mika Pérez and confirmed rider Filippo Rovelli will try to challenge for the podium across the 9 international circuits that make up the championship.

The line-up changes, but so does the bike: after a season with Yamaha, Team ParkinGO moves to Kawasaki with the aim of matching the success achieved with Chaz Davies, rider champion in the Supersport World Championship in 2011.
The new Spanish arrival Mika Perez is also enthusiastic about this change of direction and said during an interview: «I wanted a change of scenery after Honda, and I saw that the team's Kawasaki is very competitive, and I also think the team is very competitive to reach the top positions».
Filippo Rovelli too, after a first development year in Supersport 300, is ready to do better even though: «the races are very closely contested, there are many position changes and the race win is often decided on the final lap».
ParkinGO official partner of Ducati Corse
A prestigious partnership between ParkinGO and Ducati Corse for the upcoming MotoGP season

The agreement provides that the ParkinGO group will support the Ducati Team during the MotoGP World Championship trips, offering the official team the availability of its facilities across Italy. To symbolize the partnership, the ParkinGO logo will appear on the suit and helmet of Ducati's 4 riders: Andrea Dovizioso, Andrea Iannone, Michele Pirro, and brand ambassador and top test rider Casey Stoner.
As Official Partner, ParkinGO will accompany the Ducati Team throughout the entire 2016 season.
Giuliano Rovelli, President and founder of ParkinGO:
"Ducati is synonymous with passion, efficiency, attention to detail, dynamism, but also absolute reliability. These are all aspects that we share and that have characterized the activities of ParkinGO Group for twenty years. The partnership starts from this affinity and takes shape in logistical and functional support for the entire Ducati Team in MotoGP, which will be able to rely on ParkinGO quality throughout the 2016 season."
Paolo Ciabatti, Sporting Director of Ducati Corse:
"We are very pleased to have reached this agreement with ParkinGO, an Italian company that is a leader in its sector, growing on the international market and at the forefront of innovation in the field of mobility. ParkinGO is a prestigious brand, also synonymous with success in the racing world, and we will therefore proudly carry it on the helmets and suits of our official riders in the MotoGP season that is about to begin."
The 2013 season is another challenge for ParkinGO
The return to Supersport, the specialists’ category, is made even more exciting by the partnership with a historic and prestigious brand. 2013 is doubly exciting. It marks ParkinGO’s return to a Supersport World Championship long dominated by Japanese manufacturers.
The 2011 world champions and the historic Italian manufacturer MV Agusta decided to come back together and join forces. The 3-cylinder 675 from Schiranna in ParkinGO livery marks the beginning of a new and exciting adventure.
The riders
Roberto Rolfo
The Turin-born rider, born in 1980, already 250cc vice world champion with experience in Superbike and Moto2 (he was the first to test the Moto2 and Dunlop tyres, winning 2 world championship races), is the experienced man who will lead the track setup of the 3-cylinder bike from Schiranna.
A fair, composed, reliable rider capable of winning, he is the experienced figure chosen by ParkinGO and MV Agusta for the start of the new partnership.
Roberto Rolfo will be able to offer the MV Agusta-ParkinGO pairing, built on history and passion, that track experience which helps set the right development path.
Christian Iddon
Talent and versatility are the hallmarks of the British rider, already among the leaders in the Supermotard World Championship despite his very young age, and immediately at ease in speed racing as well in the British Supersport Championship. His end of season, riding another 3-cylinder bike, the Triumph Daytona 675, saw him as the protagonist of a steady rise marked by a positive streak of prestigious results.
ParkinGO, a team used to surprising people also with its ability to discover the most outstanding talents among outsiders, is also counting on him for a winning return to Supersport together with a prestigious manufacturer such as MV Agusta.
Team ParkinGO MV AGUSTA in the World Superbike Supersport Championship
The Team was founded at the end of 2006 when Giuliano Rovelli, entrepreneur and successful rider from 1990 to 1996, decided to return to the world of racing. Over the course of 4 years of experience in the Supersport World Championship, first with Triumph and then with Yamaha, the Motorsport Team always fought to compete at the highest levels and in 2011 achieved, with Chaz Davies, the most eagerly awaited result: the world champion title in the entry class. 2012 was another adventure. The team took part in the top class of production-derived motorcycles, the Superbike World Championship, and did so riding the Aprilia RSV4 with Chaz Davies. Always used to racing under pressure, the Welsh rider experienced his rookie world championship without any awe. Despite an uphill start due to an injury during testing and a few setbacks caused by inexperience and bad luck, the young rider confirmed himself as the best absolute rookie, earning several important satisfactions. 164.5 points, 12 top-ten finishes, and 4 podiums brought him to 9th place overall in the final standings. The result to frame, however, was the victory in race 2 at Nürburgring, the first world championship win for an Aprilia RSV4 other than Max Biaggi’s, as well as the first and so far only victory for a private Aprilia in the world championship.
